HANNIBAL, Mo. -- One Quincy, Ill., teen has been arrested and a second is still sought in connection with a Tuesday shoplifting incident in the WalMart complex.

Two males were spotted leaving the business without paying for a large TV and a cart of electronic merchandise. Once in the parking lot, the males dropped the merchandise and ran when they discovered they were being pursued.

On Wednesday, police were told a store employee had taken a shoplifter into custody and that person was identified as one of the two shoplifters from Tuesday.

He was identified as a 16-year-old from Quincy and was taken to Hannibal Police Department and later released to the custody of 10th Circuit Juvenile Division deputy juvenile officer.

The other suspect has not yet been arrested.
