Lekha Yadav and Brenton Knuffman exchanged wedding vows during an afternoon ceremony Sept. 5 in Quincy University Chapel.

The bride is a daughter of Deborah and Rakesh Yadav of Pune, India. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Knuffman of Quincy.

The Rev. Donald Knuffman officiated.

Attending the bride was her brother, Devdhar Yadav.

Best man was Jason Knuffman, brother of the bridegroom.

A wedding dinner was held Sept. 5 in the Villa Kathrine.

The newlyweds are at home in Montgomery Village, Md.

The bride earned a master's degree in environmental sustainability in 2003 from the University of Edinburgh. She is working on a doctorate at the University of Michigan's School of Natural Resources and Environment.

The bridegroom earned a doctorate in applied physics in 2008 from the University of Michigan. He is a postdoctoral research associate at the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
