Mr. and Mrs. Tim Belford of Pittsfield have announced the engagement of their daughter, Brooke Belford, to Dan Haynes, both of St. Louis. He is a son of Mike and Dawn Mullinax of Macon.

The bride-elect graduated from Pittsfield High School in 2001 and Illinois College in 2005. She received a master's degree in 2007 from the University of Illinois-Springfield and is a marketing specialist for the Boeing Co.

The prospective bridegroom graduated from Meridian High School in 2000 and Millikin University in 2004. He received a master's degree in 2007 from the University of Illinois-Springfield and is a compliance manager for the Buckingham Family of Financial Services.

The couple will be married Oct. 31 in Pittsfield.
