Rick and Michele Binger of Ursa have announced the engagement of their son, Brandon Michael Giesing, to Shelby Lynn Holt, also of Ursa. She is a daughter of Dale and Lora Lynn Holt of 642 Jackson and Phil and Lisa Cook of 2925 Hampshire.

Miss Holt is a 2008 graduate of Quincy High School. She is a student at John Wood Community College and plans to graduate in 2010.

Mr. Giesing is a 2008 graduate of Unity High School and is employed by Wis Pak.

The couple will be married Nov. 7 in First Baptist Church.
