Willis and Carolyn Altenhein of Quincy have celebrated 60 years of marriage.

The couple were married Oct. 23, 1949, in Table Grove Community Church in Table Grove.

Mrs. Altenhein is the former Carolyn Foster, daughter of the late Bernard and Marguerite Walsh Foster. Mr. Altenhein is a son of the late William and Emma Baker Altenhein.

They are the parents of Clinton (Nancy) Altenhein, Jannel (Mark) VonderHaar of Quincy and James (Ann) Altenhein of Latham. They have four grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

Mr. Altenhein is a retired farmer and a member of the National Rifle Association.

Mrs. Altenhein is a member of the Great River Genealogy Society and the Dorothy Quincy Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
