After honeymooning in Cancun, Mexico, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Eugene Goerlich are at home in Quincy.

Mr. Goerlich and the former Miss Bessie Colleen Routt, both of Quincy, exchanged wedding vows April 5 in the First Baptist Church in Ewing, Mo.

The bride is a daughter of Randy and Linda Routt of Ewing. The bridegroom is a son of Eugene and Rita Goerlich of Quincy.

Mr. Routt gave his daughter in marriage during the 4:30 p.m. ceremony conducted by the Rev. Russell Brownell. Vocalist was Derek Smyser of Maywood, Mo., cousin of the bride. Also participating in the ceremony were Sue Johnson of Durham, Mo., cousin of the bride, reader; Sandy Meany, Sally Laws, Lavon Mathes and Sherry Bartz, all of Maywood and aunts of the bride; and Lincoln Benedict of Maywood, cousin of the bride, and Haley Goerlich of Flower Mound, Texas, niece of the bridegroom, candlelighters.

Maids of honor were Jill Meany of Maywood, cousin of the bride, and Reva Sparks of Ewing. Bridesmaids were Beth Ensor of LaGrange, Mo., and Tasha Rothweiler of Maywood, cousins of the bride; Amanda Jones of Quincy; Nikki Routt of Lewistown, Mo., sister-in-law of the bride; and Erin Ragar of Bethel, Mo. Junior bridesmaid was Bayleah Mathes of Bethel, cousin of the bride.

Best man was Brad Hankins of Quincy. Groomsmen were Adam Porter and Scott Stinnett, both of Quincy; Charlie Bartz of LaGrange, cousin of the bride; J.R. Routt of Lewistown, brother of the bride; Gene Goerlich; and Jim Goerlich of Flower Mound, brother of the bridegroom. Junior groomsman was Dylan Goerlich of Flower Mound, nephew of the bridegroom.

Ushers were Jimmy Mathes and Zack Mathes, both of Maywood; Travis "Bubba" Mathes of Lewistown; and Curtis Meany of Kansas City, Mo., all cousins of the bride.

Flower girl was Jenna Routt of Lewistown, niece of the bride. Ring bearers were Levi Routt of Lewistown, nephew of the bride, and Cody Goerlich of Flower Mound, nephew of the bridegroom.

The bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner in the Patio in Quincy. A reception began at 7 p.m. in the Queen of Peace Hall in Ewing.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Highland High School and a spring 2007 high honors graduate of John Wood Community College. She is a senior at Quincy University, where she is majoring in human services and is on the dean's list. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and received the Collegiate All American Scholar Award.

The bridegroom is a 1994 graduate of Quincy High School. He is a member of the South Side Boat Club and is active on the trap team.
