Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Quincy was the setting for the May 3 wedding of Miss Carrie Peters and Jared Thomas Phillips, both of Chicago.
The bride is a daughter of Cindy and Steve Peters of Quincy. The bridegroom is a son of Judy and Jeff Phillips of Rockford.
The bride was given in marriage by her father during the 2 p.m. ceremony conducted by the Rev. Mike Kuse. Music was provided by Laura Kammerer, organist, and Ashley Douglas and Doug Many, vocalists. Readers were Jim Miller and Linda Rose.
Matron of honor was Robyn Tholen of Kansas City, Mo., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Krissi Peters of Quincy, sister-in-law of the bride; Courtney Paul and Ashley Niemann of Chicago; Liz Holbrook, Erin Liesen and Katie Bockenfeld, all of Quincy; and Whitney Ernst of Kansas City.
Best man was Matthew Phillips of Rockford, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Adam Peters of Quincy, brother of the bride; Joe Niedermeier of Rockford; Dan Hilby of Aurora; Mark Baumann of Champaign; Alex Moddrell of St. Louis; Rob Allison of Algonquin; and Adam Tholen of Kansas City, brother-in-law of the bride.
Ushers were Adam Peters and Joe Niedermeier.
Ring bearers were Austin and Kaden Tholen, nephews of the bride.
The bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner May 2 at Spring Lake Country Club. A reception was held from 6 p.m. to midnight in the Ambiance.
After honeymooning in Riviera Maya, Mexico, the newlyweds are at home in Chicago.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School and a 2006 graduate of Illinois State University, where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta. She is the owner of Li'l Angels Photography.
The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Boylan Catholic High School and a 2006 graduate of ISU. He is an account recruiter manager at Aerotek in Rosemont.
