Car hits cow on Mo. 11

HURDLAND, MO. -- A Baring driver was slightly injured when his car hit a cow on Mo. 11 north of Hurdland at 11:10 p.m. Wednesday.

Dakota L. Downing was taken by Knox County EMS to the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville for treatment.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the 2001 Toyota Camry was eastbound then it struck the cow about five-tenths of a mile west of Route J. Police did not reveal the name of the animal's owner.

Also assisting were the Knox County Sheriff's Department and Knox County Fire and Rescue.
