The engagement of Jayme Nicole Merker and Trevor Michael Hagerbaumer, both of 1351 N. 1403rd Lane, Fowler, has been announced by their parents.

The bride-elect is a daughter of Tim and Tammy Lepper of 3807 N. 90th St. and Bruce Merker of 1300 S. 15th. She graduated in 2004 from Quincy High School and in May from Quincy University with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. Miss Merker is employed by the Tower of Pizza.

The prospective bridegroom is a son of Gary and Debbie Hagerbaumer of 5531 Lentz Road. He graduated in 2002 from Seymour High School in Payson and is employed by Three L Construction Inc.

The couple will be married Aug. 9 in St. John Lutheran Church.
