Together with their parents, Brittany Megan Dobbs and Clay Ryan Maschoff have announced their engagement.

The bride-elect, of Springfield, is a daughter of Ann and Rodney Fosdyck of Bowen and Jeff and Nicole Dobbs of Vermont. She is a 2006 graduate of Southeastern High School in Augusta and a 2007 graduate of Midwest Technical Institute in Springfield. Miss Dobbs is a certified medical coding specialist at Springfield Service Corp.

The prospective bridegroom, also of Springfield, is a son of Lori and William Long of Quincy and Ronny Maschoff of Decatur. He attended Southeastern High School in Augusta and is a production specialist at Simplx.

An Aug. 16 wedding is planned in Quincy.
