Larry and Susan Collins of Summer Hill have announced the engagement of their daughter, Dee Ann Collins, to Kyle Vandermolen, son of Roger and Jan Vandermolen of Saranac, Mich.

Miss Collins earned a bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla. She is a quality engineer at United States Steel in Gary, Ind.

Mr. Vandermolen earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Michigan Technological University in Houghton. He is a process engineer at Cathay Pigments-USA in Valparaiso, Ind.

An August wedding is planned in Hobart, Ind.
