The families of Linda Meyer and Andy Douglas have announced the couple's engagement.

The bride-elect, of Quincy, is a daughter of Richard and Margaret Meyer of Belleville. She is a 1996 graduate of Belleville East High School and a 2000 graduate of Quincy University, where she also earned a master's degree in education this year. Miss Meyer is an intervention specialist at Washington School.

The prospective bridegroom is a son of Jerry and Trish Douglas of Quincy. He is a 2000 graduate of Quincy High School and a 2006 graduate of QU. Mr. Douglas is a physical education teacher at Washington School and an assistant varsity basketball coach for QHS.

The couple will be married June 20 in the Ambiance Rose Garden.
