Jim and Cherie Hill of St. Joseph, Mo., Stephanne and Kent Munzlinger of Williamstown, Mo., and Christopher and Joy Middendorf of Quincy have announced the engagement of their children, Shanen Hill and Joshua Middendorf.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Central High School and will graduate in July from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville with a bachelor of arts degree in English. Miss Hill is employed by Target Corp.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of Highland High School and attended Northwest Missouri State University. He will graduate in 2010 from Logan Chiropractic College in Chesterfield, Mo., with a bachelor of science degree in life science and a doctor of chiropractic.

An Aug. 30 wedding is planned in Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church in St. Joseph.
