AUGUSTA, Ill. -- The car of an Augusta woman flipped off Ill. 61 west of Augusta at 1:15 a.m. today, causing minor injuries.

Angel N. Phillips, 24, declined treatment at the scene from emergency personnel.

The Hancock County Sheriff's Department reports a white 1999 Chrysler Cirrus was eastbound on Ill. 61 about one-quarter mile east of 2700 East County Road, or about two miles west of Augusta, when it left the north side of the road, struck a ditch, hit a field entrance and became airborne. The car then hit the ditch again and came to rest on its roof.

Phillips was ticketed on a charge of driving under the influence.

Assisting were the Augusta Fire Department, Augusta First Responders, Tri-County Fire Department, Carthage Ambulance and the Illinois State Police.
