Randall and Darlene Prather of LaPrairie will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. July 6 in First United Methodist Church in Rushville. Their children will host the event. Family and friends are invited; they request no gifts.

The couple were married July 6, 1958, in the United Methodist Church in Littleton.

Mrs. Prather is a daughter of the late Virgil and Lela Royer of Rushville. Mr. Prather is a son of the late Curtis and Mary Prather of rural LaPrairie.

They are the parents of Kent Prather and his wife, Sandy, of Mount Sterling, Cindy Shelts and her husband, Kevin, of Camden, and Lisa Kerker and her husband, Kevin, of Augusta. They have six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. and Mrs. Prather both recently retired. They are members of Camden United Methodist Church and enjoy traveling.
