John and Shelly Lay of Hamilton have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.

They were married March 25, 1983, in the Christian Church in LaBelle, Mo.

Mrs. Lay is the former Shelly Kessler, daughter of Lucille Kessler of Lewistown, Mo., and the late Donald Kessler. Mr. Lay is a son of Alice (Ken) Freiling of Mendon and Ursa Lay of Lewistown.

They are the parents of Kristin of Bloomington and twins Kelsey and Ryan at home.

Mr. Lay is employed by CNH/UAW Local 807 in Burlington, Iowa. He enjoys Kansas City Chiefs football, St. Louis Cardinals baseball and high school sports.

Mrs. Lay is employed by Forecast Sales Inc. in Keokuk, Iowa. She enjoys bowling, as well as the annual family trips as they go to the Women's National Tournament every year.
