The purpose of the "Can Jam" was to help the Madonna House replenish some of their food pantry and a way for the Blues Society to give back to the community. We would also like to thank all the bands -- Blue Healers, Fielder, Ben Bumbry and the Messengers, Antidote, and the Classics, who put their hearts and souls into their fantastic performances. Another big thank you to all the volunteers who helped, it was very much appreciated. Also we would like to thank everyone who participated at our event and to Hy-Vee, County Market, Butcher Block and the Business Centre for their help. With everybody coming together to help us reach our goal of helping the community, this was a success! The Madonna House was very pleased to receive about 1,500 pounds of non-perishable food items and $500 cash from the event. http://qui.live.mediaspanonline.com/new_story/Thanks-Neighbor-Blues
