They were married March 25, 1983, in the Christian Church in LaBelle, Mo. Mrs. Lay is the former Shelly Kessler, daughter of Lucille Kessler of Lewistown, Mo., and the late Donald Kessler. Mr. Lay is a son of Alice (Ken) Freiling of Mendon and Ursa Lay of Lewistown.
