ALEXANDRIA, Mo. — Traffic was scheduled to reopen along U.S. 61 between Alexandria and Keokuk, Iowa this afternoon.

Crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation were removing barricades at noon and hoped to allow motorists to reach the Des Moines River Bridge by 1 p.m.

U.S. 61 closed down June 12.
