Hannibal woman arrested on assault charges
A 20-year-old Hannibal woman has been arrested on an assault charge in connection with a late-night shooting incident June 28 at an apartment complex on Munger Lane.
Cheri Denise Johnson was arrested Monday without incident and is being held on $50,000 cash-only bond in the Marion County Jail.
Johnson is alleged to have knowingly acted together with, aided or encouraged others to attempt to kill or seriously injure an Illinois teenage boy. Shots were fired at 271 Munger Lane, but no one was injured, Hannibal police report.
If convicted, Johnson faces between five and 15 years in prison.
