Edward Kindred of Jacksonville has announced the engagement of his daughter, Ellie A. Kindred, to Jason Thomas Koenig, son of Tom and Judy Koenig of St. Charles, Mo.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Routt Catholic High School and earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Quincy University. Miss Kindred is a teacher for the Quincy Public School District.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Duchesne High School and received a degree in marketing from Quincy University in 2006. He is an account executive with KHQA.

An August wedding is planned in Quincy.
