The engagement of Rebecca J. Young Savoia and Russell W. Landes has been announced.

The bride-elect, of Canton, Mo., is a daughter of Grace Young and Allen Young of Lewistown, Ill. She is employed by American Commercial Barge Lines in Jeffersonville, Ind.

The prospective bridegroom, of West Burlington, Iowa, is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald L. Landes of West Point, Iowa. He is employed by Dresser-Rand in West Burlington.

They will be married July 21 in Monticello, Mo.
