Dale and Diana Simon of 1993 E. 1650th St., Coatsburg, are observing their 40th wedding anniversary today. They will celebrate by taking a vacation with their children and grandchildren in August.

The couple were married June 29, 1968, in First Congregational Church in Mendon.

Mrs. Simon is the former Diana Guthrie, daughter of Alta Guthrie of Mendon and the late Winfred Guthrie. Mr. Simon is a son of the late Clarence and Esther Simon.

They are the parents of Delinda (Tom) Hawkins of Galesburg and Darren (Brooke) Simon of St. Charles. They have two grandchildren.

Mr. Simon is a retired junior high and high school science teacher from Camp Point Central School District 3.

Mrs. Simon is employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield in Quincy.
